Kona Cafe - Great Start to a Foodie Adventure

We love Kona. For both breakfast and dinner, it’s always a hit with our family. The atmosphere is casual and bright, and the service has always been great for us. This trip Kona did not disappoint. We arrived on time for our reservation; in fact we made it early which can be difficult with a two month old! They got us in fairly quickly. In fact we had just enough time to feed Sawyer a bottle between check-in and the time we were seated. This may seem like a long time, but our kid is a tank, and drinks a bottle like a teenager in a beer chugging contest...it was likely about 5 or 6 minutes.

Animal Kingdom Lodge's Jiko - A Worthwhile Signature Experience

Jiko is the signature dining experience located at Animal Kingdom Lodge. The lodge itself it beautiful, and if you've never stayed there a night a Jiko is a great way to experience the slightly dark and rustic decor and atmosphere. We arrived at Jiko at around 7 PM, and waited for a while for our table to be ready. The upside to this is that they have a great lounge to wait in and it gave us some time to soak up the surroundings, which are outstanding. The small details all over the place are totally amazing. they have the coolest Hidden Mickey light fixtures ever!

The food was good, and some of it great...but what really set Tony's apart was the service, and the additional Disney Magic our dining experience entailed. Our server, Bruce was the first "memorable" server of the trip... Bruce offered outstanding service, and just was a joy to deal with. I'll tackle food first, then expound on the experience.
