Mouse Voyages

I may be a little too critical but I wasn't enthused by Paradise Pier. It certainly lived up to Disney standards, don't get me wrong. I just felt like something was missing... a little bit of magic perhaps? The castmembers were very nice, helpful and smiled all the time. It is exactly what you expect from a Disney Resort hotel. The pool area was a disappointment. It was a giant slab of concrete with a small pool. There was no lifeguard on duty at the pool but there was one at the slide. I thought that was a bit odd. Our view of Disney's California Adventure theme park was incredible. I loved to stand by the window and just LOOK. I still can't help feel like something was missing or out of place at the hotel. The elevator system was a complete dsiaster. I have never waited so long in my life. I'm convinced that there were 16 people in the basement pulling on a rope. There were constant complaints from other guests as we stood waiting and wiating .... and waiting. I don't think I would stay there again. I don't feel the hotel justifies the cost... but that,s just me.
